Christine Waugh...
I have been working with horses professionally for nearly 20 years with hands on involvement across the equine industry, having worked with horses since leaving school.
Raised in Germany near Hannover, I developed a lifelong passion for horses, particularly warmbloods. I then began my equestrian career as a competitive Junior showjumper, achieving notable success across the Armed Forces leagues at a young age.
After returning to England, I worked extensively at stud farms, gaining broad experience and deepening my knowledge of breeding and young horses.
I later began competing representing our local Pony Club with spots on teams at multi disciplined Championships, but i quickly discovered that dressage would become my true passion.
I went on to breed and compete my own string of horses, competing for the North West in BYRDS competitions, including Don Juan, my late Hungarian Warmblood stallion.
In 2012, I relocated to Scotland and became a mother to my daughter, Kara. During these early years, I stepped back from competiting and decided to focus on my equine education and professional development.
I feel so very lucky to now own a lovely new horse called Dreamy - Dream of Donnerhall MFS, although we are a relativley new combination we had a fantastic time in our first British Dressage season in 2025.
Continued Personal Development
I passed my Equine Sports Massage qualification with merit through the College of Animal Physiotherapy and since then have built on my knowledge with a strong foundation in equine anatomy, biomechanics, and performance management.
I also hold a Certificate of Achievement in Equine Behaviour and Psychology, supporting a holistic, horse-centred approach to my work.
Further expanding my professional skill set by completing an Award in Understanding and Utilising Photobiomodulation with LED Devices for Animal Health Practitioners, reflecting her commitment to evidence-informed and progressive equine care.
In 2026 I have now added Winback TECAR Theraapy to my skill set, incorporating Winback technology as a complementary modality. This has been integrated to enhance tissue response, support recovery, and aid performance, while maintaining my belief that hands-on therapy remains at the heart of effective equine treatment technology used to.... support — not replace — traditional methods.
